Smart Array E500 Crashing when heavy I/O
hey all, i have a ML350 G5, attached is a MSA60 using a Smart Array E500 controller card. i've created a iSCSI share and when ever i try to place data on it, using either ESX or Windows the array will crash and will disapear from my computer.. etc.. Ive updated the driver according to a document i found on the hp website but that doesnt seem to help.
Any other ideas ?

Re: Smart Array E500 Crashing when heavy I/O
Hi Gerry,
I would also try updating the Firmware of the E500, the MSA60 and all the disks.
Easiest way to do this is download the latest FW Maintenance CD (currently ver 8.20) from here...
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121586&prodNameId=3279711&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-3d1aaa0b48c04b628789e598d3
Burn to CD, down the server and boot off it.
