Switch : 8-Port, Fixed GBIC Fibre Channel Switch
Hello,
I got an compaq Switch : 8-Port, Fixed GBIC Fibre Channel Switch and I am trying to configure this switch to talk to my EVA5000.
When I try to console into this switch and this is what I got (please see the attachment). It wouldn't go any further.
I had two different switches and they both are the same.
Any help from you all would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Switch : 8-Port, Fixed GBIC Fibre Channel Switch
The only reason you need to use Hyperterminal is to initially set the IP address of the switch. After the IP is set, you can just browse to the IP using Internet Explorer. Then create zones in order to establish the relationship between your server HBA's and your storage.

Re: Switch : 8-Port, Fixed GBIC Fibre Channel Switch
How do you set the switch IP address if the switch won't go any further or won't let you type any thing in there. I have 3 different switches and they all have the same problem.
Please help.
