Unable to get Storage from 2312fc to be seen in vCenter
I am trying to set up a 2312fc but cannot get the LUN I have created to be seen as storage through our vCenter server, despite rescan the HBAs.
I have plugged the fibre from the back of the SANs dual management consoles into our fibre switches and configured the zoning on the switches.
The ESX servers already have EMC SANs that are configured correctly and are working. Their fibre connections also go through the same switches.
I have then created a vDisk on the HP SAN of 100GB, and then added my hosts (esx01_vmhba1, esx01_vmhba2, esx02_vmhba1, esx02_vmhba2) and set up an explicit mapping.
I'm not sure how to (indeed if I need to)associate a LUN number at the SAN level, to the vDisk.
Does any of this make sense to anyone, and if so, can you shed any light on where I might be going wrong?
