Updating drive firmware on MSA1000

We have a new unconfigured MSA1000 with the 146 GB drives that require a firmware update. I have tried running the HP Update utility v7.9 with no success. It gets to the point it is loading drivers (item 2 of 4) and hangs. I would like to get these updated before configuring the SAN if possible. Any suggestions??

Tom,

Do you have another server that you can connect the drives directly to (rather than through the MSA) - also, do you have the latest firmware on all the controllers & the server?
