Upgrading from 2012i to 2312i

Is there a good document or process for upgrading from a 2012i to a 2312i?

I only have 6 3.5" 450GB SAS 15k disks in the 2012i, and the 2312i is empty. Can I just move the disks from one enclosure to the other and have the raid sets recognized, then reset the IP information?

Or am I looking at a full backup, and restore of the data once I have the new one configured...
