VMS7.3-2
I have ES40 2 with 4 667mhz cpu's
I can only boot vms with 1GB of memory in the system.
with 2GB of the same memory or more the system will not boot P00>>>b dka0
open fibre pga0.0.0.3.0
(boot dka0.0.0.2.1 -flags 0)
block 0 of dka0.0.0.2.1 is a valid boot block
reading 1134 blocks from dka0.0.0.2.1
P00>>>b dka0
(boot dka0.0.0.2.1 -flags 0)
block 0 of dka0.0.0.2.1 is a valid boot block
reading 1134 blocks from dka0.0.0.2.1
bootstrap code read in
base = 200000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 8dc00(580608)
initializing HWRPB at 2000
initializing page table at 3ff54000
initializing machine state
setting affinity to the primary CPU
jumping to bootstrap code

Re: VMS7.3-2
Seen the same with an 8 GB ES40 (FW V7.2).
Changing the console environment variable MEMORY_TEST from PARTIAL to FULL made this message go away and allowed the ES40 to successfully boot from a SAN disk.
Volker.
