Volume Copy from RAID to RAID - Possible?

Is it possible on a dual controller MSA2012i with the volume copy license installed, to copy a volume from one RAID to another? When I attempt to copy a volume, the dropdown box on that web intercase screen only shows the vdisk that the current volume is on, indicating that a volume copy to another RAID is not possible. Am I missing something? or is this just not possible with this SAN?

hmmmm, might have solved this one myself. the raid I am trying to copy is the only on on the controller. so now I guess my question is: is there any disadvantage of having all the raids on the same controller so I can copy volumes? or is it better for preformance to have vdisk RAIDs on different controllers.
