What is the difference between MSA AP836A and AP836B controllers?

For the MSA2000 (Fibre Channel 8Gbit) there are two controller types AP836A and AP836B. These controllers can, as far as I know, be interchanged and mixed in the same enclosure. They seem to be identical... so why are they named differently?

Is there a reason not to mix the two types?
I'm asking because we have a "B" controller as spare for both types. If there are any concerns mixing them, we have to buy an "A" controller too as spare.

HP Green Initiative for G3 Products

1. RoHS 7c III exemption expires 12/31/2012.
2. HP plans to be 100% RoHS compliant with the G3 products. HP will launch new SKU PNs to identify “Green” product from the existing “Brown” products. All SKU PNs will suffix with “B” and “-62002”, and the Spares will suffix with “-002”

Thanks for the answers.... Yes I also noticed the -002 spare numbers and I suspected it could have to do with RoHS. Thank you for confirming that.
