cannot install the Qlogic HP drivers

Hi,

I have a HP Proliant 380 G3 server (RedHat As 2.1 2.4.9-e.38enterprise) attached to HP MSA1000.
I experience a serious issue to install the Qlogic HP drivers to provide the failover.
I launched the following commands from the CD HPMSA-755B.iso:
-./INSTALL -f
All are OK, but I receive this message :
The compilation did not suceed

-./INSTALL -s
I receive those error messages:
qla_inioct.c: In function `qla2x00_set_nvram_protection':
qla_inioct.c:502: parse error before `wait_cnt'
qla_inioct.c:536: `wait_cnt' undeclared (first use in this function)

error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.16017 (%build)

RPM build errors:
Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.16017 (%build)

How can I fix this issue? I need to keep my RedHat 2.1 AS, can you suggest me which drivers can I install??

Thanks,

Haydar

Re: cannot install the Qlogic HP drivers

Hello,

please check if AS 2.1 is supported the driver. You can try the drivers from QLogic, too.

Hi,

Which is the model number of the HBA you have? The drivers available are mostly for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but with the model of the HBA you'll be able to narrow it down.

Main website for HBAs:
