clxeva: Cannot find management path
Hi,
Here is the situation :
2 x EVA4000 with CA (EVA4K01 & EVA4K02)
2 x CommandViewEVA dedicated servers (manap01 & manap02)
2 x ProLiant DL380G5 with RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 4 and MC/ServiceGuard (sapprod
& sapas1)
Everything is OK concerning the SAN infrastructure (brocade switches).
the package does not switch to the other cluster node due to a lack
of communication between clxeva and commandview. Here is the exact message:
# clxconf -smis -sg /usr/local/cmcluster/conf/pkgp01/pkgp01_clx.env pkgp01
04/16/07 09:55:50: CLX: EVA: Storage subsystem 50001FE1500C05B0 managed by
SMA manap02. Cannot find management path for storage subsystem 50001FE1500BA0F0. Please
make sure that it is also being managed by SMA manap02 and retry the clxconf.exe tool.
Any idea ?
Thank you for your (future) help.
Best regards,
Bruno LIVERNAIS

Re: clxeva: Cannot find management path
Could be a zoning problem.
In a standard CA config, one zone should have both CA-EVAs and managementserver manap02 as members.
A second zone should have both CA-EVAs and the managementserver manap01 as members.
But if you read the installation guid for CLX the zones should look a little different.

Re: clxeva: Cannot find management path
Both EVAs should be managed from the same managementserver. The other one is a standby in case of a failure of the first.
