mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

I execute windows 2008 cluster test and it returns an error about Persistence Reservation, the installation is an EVA 6400 and two mpx100.
I have a cluster, but connected with FC, working perfectly.

Re: mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

Hi,

clusters don't seem to be supported via iSCSI (except for OpenVMS).
Here's then support stream for the mpx100 (attached).

Stephen

Re: mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

what a pity!.
Thank you very much for your response.
But, why is OpenVMS capable to form a cluster?.

Re: mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

I don't know much about OpenVMS. I cannot explain why. It just says so in that stream.

Re: mpx100 and Windows 2008 Cluster

OpenVMS clustering uses a distributed lock manager which is communicating across several interconnects (CI, DSSI, FDDI, 10/100/1000-Ethernet) to allow synchronized access to volumes, files and records within files. It does not use SCSI reservations which eases certain implementation details / testing situations.
