msa 60 transfer rate

Hi

I have a msa 60 connected to a sa-P822 controller.

I was wondering if I can get higher data rates than 1.5g,   

All of the drives are reported as 1.5g even though the are 3.0 and 6.0 g

according to hpacucli

I have the following firmware

Hello,

Please be aware the MSA60 went End of Support Life on 9 September 2016. There is no further support, engineering effort, or likely spare parts for this product. If you have any data on this system you should have a complete and valid backup at all times. You should also consider moving your data to a new JBOD enclosure. 

The MSA60 never supported 3G or 6G drives. This enclosure was released back when 1.5G SATA drives were top of the line. Likely you have unsupported drives in the enclosure that are working due to SAS technology. Additionally, the MSA60 was never supported with the P822. So you have a lot of unsupported hardware with your data residing there.

You are likely getting good speed for the age of the equipment you have connected. I have no suggestion on how to make something this old and this cobbled together faster.

Disclaimer: Data integrity is a customer responsibility. HPE recommends to perform frequent data back ups and to perform a full back up before any maintenance activity. Having valid data back ups allows for recovery if a disaster should occur.

what drive arrays would you suggest that would accept 3.5 drives in the

hi, one more item, according to the quick specs page, the msa60 drive rack supports 3g data speeds, in both sas and sata.

but this is besides the point.  can you suggest a drive rack that provides p822 controller compatibly and 6g drive support in a 3.5 form factor?
