p2000 to switch
Hello,
i want to get P2000 With 12Tb (Mirroring) “HP P2000 G3 MSA FC Dual Cntrl LFF Array AP845B”. This data storage will connect to 8 server’s every two server will work with VMware in cluster mode so :
what the best switch will be fine for that? how many switch's should i get?
can i get two data storage and make it as failover if the first one is going down?
can i connect the data storage to eight servers thoruge the switch?
should i get a spesifc network card for server i have dl380 g8:

As far as i can see your servers have network cards only, but the array is FC. If the network cards can do FCoE (i assume they can) you need an (expensive) switch that can "translate" FCoE to pure FC like the SN6500C , for redundancy you need 2.

You can buy a second P2000 and do a Snapshot based Replication.
Take a look in the P2000 G3 QuickSpec.

Here is the P2000 G3 MSA Quickspecs page. All models come with 64 controller-based snapshots and clone capability, and an optional 512 snaps.Page 12 details the snapshot software for each model.
