Re: p2000 to switch

As far as i can see your servers have network cards only, but the array is FC. If the network cards can do FCoE (i assume they can) you need an (expensive) switch that can "translate" FCoE to pure FC like the SN6500C , for redundancy you need 2.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

You can buy a second P2000 and do a Snapshot based Replication.
Take a look in the P2000 G3 QuickSpec.

can i connect the data storage to eight servers thoruge the switch?
Yes

should i get a spesifc network card for server i have dl380 g8:
Yes, example: HP 82Q, HP 82E

Re: p2000 to switch

Hi @AminBaik

I agree with Cali's suggestions. These products are available through our HP SMB website:

HP 8/24 Base (16) Full Fabric Ports Enabled SAN Switches

HP P2000 G3 MSA

HP 82Q 8Gb 2-port PCIe Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter

Here is the P2000 G3 MSA Quickspecs page. All models come with 64 controller-based snapshots and clone capability, and an optional 512 snaps.Page 12 details the snapshot software for each model.
