Re: regarding raid disk.

Not exactly sure about the question ... if all 32 disks are in the same diskgroup, then your vRAID5 vdisk is on all 32 disks.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

raid 5.

and i used total 90% of disk space.

suppose two or three disk failed in same time

data will lost or not.

or

two or three disk failed in same enclusure data will lost or not.

thanks

Re: regarding raid disk.

It depends.

2 or more disk failures *at the same time* are very unlikely. If a disk fails, the array will rebuild and is *fully redundant* again, as long as there is space enough. So replace each failed disk asap. Under special circumstances more than 1 disk can fail at the same time without data loss, this depends on the internal data layout.

Imagine a 4 disk mirror - if you loose the both mirrors you will survive, if you loose a mirrored pair, you loose your data. This example will apply, more or less.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: regarding raid disk.

The attachment is showing a failed disk. I would restart the P6000 command view service to ensure you see a current status.
If the status is still the same, this disk is dead.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: regarding raid disk.

No effects. The service is just for management of the array.

Hope this helps!
