suppress lun on MSA 1000
I've a MSA 1000 with 2 controllers.
I wanna suppress 1 LUN without suppress any data on others LUNS.
How can I do ? (I don't find any menu to suppress the LUN)

Re: suppress lun on MSA 1000
But watch out! To use it, you must explicity grant access to all other LUNs.

Re: suppress lun on MSA 1000
That is not correct. IN SSP all luns are "available" to all hosts but need to be "Assigned to a specific host before they get access. What you do have to do to use SSP is enable it. It is disabled by default.

Re: suppress lun on MSA 1000
when you use SSP to control access for a single unit, it activates the ACL and this automatically disables access on all other units.
So you disable access to the unit you want to 'suppress', but you need to enable access for all others.
At least that is how it works on the CLI.

Re: suppress lun on MSA 1000
Not true, unless I have misunderstood you. You can mask any disk unit from any server.
If by 'first LUN', you mean the controller LUN that is mapped at LUN address 0 - this can't be masked, because it is required for in-band management and SCSI-3 REPORT LUNS.
