vgextend
I have 2 HP-UX systems which are connected to an Msa1000. I have made all the configs on 2/8 switch and Msa100. When I discover disks on Unix side I see disks properly, but when I try to create a VG containing Msa1000 disks I get the message
x vgextend: Couldn't install the physical volume "/dev/dsk/c4t8d2". Tooo many links
vgdisplay command shows me more than 1 PV as alternate links. I see that it works fine but this message seems to be annoying. Any idea why this happens ? Missing or wrong driver ?

Re: vgextend
Did you check whether the connections on the MSA1000 did get the proper profile (HP) assigned? You do need to reboot the HP-UX server(s) after the change.
