How to send mail using groupwise server

Hi,

i need help to setup my HP-UX box running 11.0 to send mail using groupwise mail server. basically i just need to send mail to some of the groupwise mail account using groupwise mail server.

Please advise me how to setup the mail service. i was going through some old discussions here and i came know that we
do need to modify following files:

/etc/mail/sendmail.cf
/etc/sendmail.conf
/etc/host

may be some more. but i am not very much clear. please do help me.

usually I just put an entry into the /etc/hosts file for the mailserver I'm trying to send to then put the following line in sendmail.cf


DSmailhost

This will relay mail to your real mail server.

Also make sure that you stop and restart sendmail after making any changes like this.

# /sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
# /sbin/init.d/sendmail start

You can setup your groupwise server as a relay for your sendmail from hp server,

I am still not clear. what are the enteries we need to put in each files?

how would my unix box will find my mail server?

where do i specify my mail server's ip address?

where do i specify the login and password of groupwise mail server?, that will be used by mail server to send the mail.

please do help me in detail.
