I keep encounter user unknown when send message to the local user(xxx@fujitecsg.com). There is no problem sending message to external user.
Please enlighten me. Thank you.
Below is the error message captured.
sapdr1:[/etc/mail]# echo "test"|/usr/sbin/sendmail -v shahrial@fujitecsg.com
shahrial@fujitecsg.com... User unknown
/dead.letter... Saved message in /dead.letter

Re: Saved message in /dead.letter
Could you check your DS variable in the /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file ?
# grep DS /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
DSwebmail.$m
# nslookup webmail

Re: Saved message in /dead.letter
'sendmail -bv shahrial' , this will check whether the mail is deliverable and how, pls give the outputs..
Also 'sendmail -bt' , u will get a prompt for address testing , there u type
'/parse shahrial@fujitecsg.com' , it should show that the user is local . Press ^d to come out from the prompt.

Does it resolve?? Put the alias for user in /etc/mail/aliases file. Do a newaliases.
Test now.
