bcc & cc with -r switch

Hi I am having trouble with mailx
If i specify the sender (-r) the cc and bcc
dont get send they just appear in the body of the mail
I am generating the whole file and I use ~b for Bcc and ~c for cc at the top of the file
followed by the body then uuencoded attachments

this file i cat thru mailx with subject (-s) and then primary recipient and it work fine
its only when I specify the sender (-r) that the CC and BCC get treated as part of the body

any ideas ?

Re: bcc & cc with -r switch

Hi:

The '-r' switch disables tilde (~) commands.

Put these into the beginning of the body of the message and they should be honored.

Regards!

Yes, I found that out when I wanted to use Reply-to:

Then I found you can just include "~R reply-to-name@def.com" in the body of the message.

I'm not able to get Cc: or Bc: in the beginning to work.

Re: bcc & cc with -r switch

Hi,
I am facing the same issue.

I tried with ~R, but sender email address is still not changed.

The email that I submitted with ~R appears only when I tried to reply the email.

Is there any work around to define the sender email address and have cc and bcc ????

Thanks.
