problems trying to convert an attached .csv type file

We are tying to forward an email from a Microsoft Exchange server with an attached file (csv format) to a user within unix so that we can get the attachment data. The file is received with the attachment in MIME format. When we try to run metamail to convert the file, it will not convert the MIME portion. File attachment name is rates.csv. When we review the temp file created from metamail, we see characters replacing some of the file text and the MIME portion does not convert. The below shows substituted characters "M-^?" where other characters resided.

Re: problems trying to convert an attached .csv type file

What about trying mpack:

"munpack - unpack messages in MIME or split-uuencode format"
