sendmail IMAP4 messages

Hi
I have to HP-UX 11i and Oracle application 11.5.9 installaed on it. I want to configure Notification mailer that sends messages with SMTP and receives with IMAP4. I have configured the sendmail successfuly, but I don't have IMAP4 so the replied messages could not be read from the application. what can I do to make sendmail receive IMAP4 or any other solution
