sendmail authentication

hello friends
i have a hp-ux 11 m/c running sendmail. i have configured smart relay so that it relays all the mail to a server.
but the server requires authentication.
i need to configure SMTP Auth as defined in http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/auth.html.
Does HP unix 11 supports this and is there a complied sasl library available for HP 11.0
Any help/pointers appreciated.
