striping attachments from email

hy

i want to do the following:
if i receveive an email with an attachment i want to strip it an save the attachment in a separate directory. the rest of the mail should be delivered into the mailbox of the user.
im running hpux 1020 with sendmail.
does anyone know how to do this or have some software for it?
