HP Blade Systems Management Pack for SCOM 2007 R2 - Clustered RMS
Hi,
I have installed the HP Blade MP onto a single node of our 2 node RMS cluster. Everything appears to work fine.
What I'm interested in knowing is what would happen if we lost node 1.
Any ideas whether we install the service onto Node 2 and have it run simulatenously? Or would we need to cluster the service so that it is only online on a single node at a time?
I can imagine problems, or duplicate reporting if we isntalled 2 instances of the EMS both pointing at the same chassis.
Thoughts appreicated.
Thanks

Re: HP Blade Systems Management Pack for SCOM 2007 R2 - Clustered RMS
I attempted to cluster the Blade Enclosure Monitor Service a while back as a test but never got it functioning.
The security credentials in the Manager App are stored in a unique per machine way. I tried numerous hacks to try and get it installed on 2 machines and use the same security respository but it never worked.
Its a shame its not cluster aware.
