We use Microsoft SCOM 2007 R2, and HP Proliant MP Ver. 1.3. We have installed WBEM providers Ver. 2.4 in Windows Server 2003 R2 x64.
We are getting an Alert that WBEM providers failed: “HP ProLiant Insight WMI Management Providers Health Monitor (HP WMI Storage Providers).
The Unit Monitor “HP WMI Storage Providers” from Management Pack 1.3 is set to look for WMISTOR service.
The currently installed WBEM provider ver. 2.4 has the service called “HP WMI Storage Provider” but with a name HPWMISTOR.
Now, is it the Proliant Management Pack ver. 1.3 Unit Monitor that is looking for wrong service name (wmistor), or the WBEM provider 2.4 has the wrong service name (HPWMISTOR) ?

SolutionThis is a known problem. It will be fixed in the next release of the HP ProLiant Server Management Pack which is expected to be available shortly. I will add an update when it is released.
In the mean time you can disable this monitor rule.
Thanks,
Stuart
