A new breed of certification for the way customers buy IT

Two new HPE Hybrid IT certifications.

Customers are changing the way they buy IT. Traditionally, they’ve focused on just the products they needed for a server upgrade here or new storage capacity there. As OEM manufacturers and partners, that’s how we sold products to them. With the growth of hybrid cloud and hyper converged solutions along with artificial intelligence, customers are now starting to think more about cross platform solutions. They are looking at infrastructure purchases to answer questions like “what is the business outcome,” “what is the customer experience,” and “what is the cycle time.”

All these changes in customer thinking and industry trends means that we need to change the way we sell and train. No longer can we be specialists in just servers, just storage or just networking. We need to have a ‘solution architect’ perspective to solving customer’s business issues and look at ‘end to end’ IT. That means cross training and knowledge on all the aspects of a customer’s solution so that we can bring more value to them.

To help partners become solution architects, we’ve introduced a new category of certifications revolving around what we call Hybrid IT. The certifications bring together the skills and knowledge needed to plan, implement and servers, storage and networking knowledge and

The HPE ATP - Hybrid IT Solutions V1 certification is focused on partners being able to describe, configure and manage foundational HPE data center solutions centered on storage, networking and servers including HPE ProLiant Gen10, 3Par, Nimble and OneView infrastructure management. As a solution architect, the HPE ASE – Hybrid IT Solution Architect V1 certification will help you focus on the right HPE solutions to deliver the customer's desired business outcome by leveraging HPE compute, data center networking, storage, software-defined and cloud, hyperconverged, density, and mission critical solutions.  

We’ve also significantly invested in our technical community with the launch of the HPE Tech Pro Community. This is a new exclusive technical community for partner solution architects and HPE presales professionals to work as one team, focusing on learning, innovation, and excellence. This global initiative is part of HPE’s strategy to enablement of the technical community in the channel and internally.

We are also excited to offer the HPE Tech Pro University this year in Las Vegas, June 18-20.
