This test is retired. You should be taking hp0-s42

The HP ASE - Server Solution Architect V8 certification will go Inactive on July 1st but that doesn't mean it isn't relevant to your companies' needs.  It just means anyone new to the Storage certification path won't be able to take that certification after July 1st.  You can still work towards the HP0-S36 exam if that makes sense for you but you will have to take the exam before July 1st.  If you pass the HP0-S36 exam, you can use it to Upgrade to the HP ASE - Server Solutions Architect V2 certification: https://h10120.www1.hp.com/expertone/datacard/UpgradePath/ASE-ServSolArchV2-u

From there at the left under Technologies deselect all except Servers

In that list you will find the HP ASE - Server Solutions Architect V2 certification

Clicking on that link you will get all the information needed

At the bottom you will find the reference to the new HP0-S42 exam.

There you will find the reference guide for all HP exams being the EPG Exam Prep Guide

Hello,

The core Exam HP0-S36 leading to HP ASE - Server Solutions Architect V8 will go inactive on 01-Jul-2015.

If you are lookig for the alternative to the  HP ASE - Server Solutions Architect V8 -that will be the new HP ASE - Server Solutions Architect V2 (launched in February) that requires the HP0-S42 as a core exam and the HP ATP - Server Solutions V2 as Prerequisite.

The supporting course for the HP0-S42 is the 00949920:  Architecting HP Server Solutions Rev. 15.21 (4 days Instructor Led Training).
