I’m excited to share some of the things we are working on to help you be successful in FY17. We want to make it easier for you to learn and get credit for your time and effort. We want to give you new ways of learning, as well as, help you drive deeper, more profitable relationships with your customers.

Sales Certifications

Technology moves fast and these new sales certifications cover some of HPE’s fastest-growing markets—hybrid infrastructure computing and intelligent edge that are part of an overall $250 billion market that’s growing 2-3% annually.

From our own research, we know that partners who acquired the FY16 EG Sales Certification had better sell out performance on a year over year basis.* That’s why the new FY17 Enterprise Sales certification, HPE Sales Certified - IT Business Conversations [2017], should be a critical part of any partner’s FY17 plans. The course will help partners understand customer’s digital disruption, how they can leverage hybrid IT and the HPE strategy for delivering solutions and outcomes and not just products.

Along with the new EG sales cert, we have also released two Aruba sales certifications (HPE Sales Certified - Aruba Products and Solutions [2017] and Selling Aruba ClearPass, Rev. 16.41). For partners specializing in Networking, these two certifications are key in understanding the Aruba offerings and delivering Networking solutions to partners.

For customers that are looking for entry-level HPE server, storage, and networking solutions, the new HPE Sales Certified - Introduction to Selling HPE Solutions [2017] certification will help you understand the issues and needs of this market and then ultimately pursue new opportunities.

These new certifications are part of our returning “Early Bird” promotion. Complete them within 90 days of their release, and you’ll earn extra Knowledge Credits for your organization. Visit the FY17 overview page to get the region specific information you need to get started.

Knowledge Credit program

In FY16, we launched the Knowledge Credit program as part of the Partner Ready program requirements. Knowledge Credits recognize the time and effort partners spend in continuous learning activities. For FY17, we are making it even easier to earn Knowledge Credits for your organization. We’ve highlighted the top five activities by specialization and updated the Knowledge Credit Resources page on MyLearning to provide you the latest information.

Events

FY17 also brings with it exciting opportunities to learn at HPE events. Discover London just wrapped up and with Discover Las Vegas in June of 2017; these are great ways to see, hear and touch the newest in HPE technology. In the New Year, the HPE Technology and Solutions Summit (TSS) Cannes 2017 is another great way to earn Knowledge Credits with access to 350+ technical sessions and 80+ hands-on labs. You can also look forward to HPE TSS in Bangkok for APJ in March, and Aspire in Nashville, TN June 17-18.

Technical Certifications

There’s also a lot happening on the Technical certification side. For those of you who find it difficult to travel to take an HPE0 exam in person, you can now take an exam from the comfort of your home or office with our new remote proctoring option.

For those of you interested in learning about Aruba, we are rolling out the first in a new series of Aruba Switching technical certifications. The Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) V1 certification launches December 15, 2016, and validates that you have the fundamental skills to configure and manage modern, open standard based networking solutions. I encourage you to sign up for notifications to be alerted when this certification is released.

Combining hands-on learning with what you are studying is a great way to accelerate and reinforce your training. That’s why we’re starting to roll out remote lab self-directed training with some of our courses. Along with the downloadable printed materials, you can add remote lab time to perform exercises. The new Remote Lab Kit includes a voucher to schedule time to access HPE equipment and a Lab Guide and is available at HPE Press.

We are also continuing to increase our emphasis on technical training that crosses the boundaries of traditional IT silos into convergence and composable infrastructure. In addition to the recently introduced HPE Product Certified – OneView (2016) and HPE Product Certified – Synergy Solutions (2016) certifications, we will be bringing you a new certification covering Converged Solutions in December.
