VTL LD Calls

I am setting up two NBXs with VTL lines.  The new office has no dial tone for a month so we wanted to Hop Off until the PRI comes in.  I got the routing to work so i can call internally and dial 8+local number but if I dial 8+LD number I get Not Allowed on the phone display.  Is there a way to set CoS on the VTL ports?

Re: VTL LD Calls

did you set up the password for the VTL? I am presuming that you did sine the 8+local number does work.

The COS for VTL is what you put in the dialplan, usually it is the "WAN" setting.

Re: VTL LD Calls

I did not use a password. for the VTL trunks.  I thought I set the CoS for WAN as allowed, I will double check this afternoon.  Is there a way to set the CoS for the VTL trunks on the side where the hop off is occurring?

Re: VTL LD Calls

hi. I am surprised that local calls would "hop" off without a password.

see page 351 for setting up VTL's with a password. .states that you cannot hopoff without a password from

the remote system.

Re: VTL LD Calls

That was it. I have only had to setup Hop Off for one other customer years ago but i don't remember having to setup a password. Thank you.
