Bios Update on Netwerver E 60
I am trying to update the BIOS on the above server and get the following error "File Failed on Bios.Rom" The server hasn't been touched in years and has the orignal 400 megahertz processor. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Bios Update on Netwerver E 60
Hi Tim,
The easiest thing to do is call the friendly support staff at 1-800-474-6836 and say "Netserver" at the prompt. They can help you verify that you have the right update for this server. All you need is the serial number of the server and you can get free phone support for this model.
The file you need to download is here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=18330&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=45937&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=54
It is the first download in the list and you need to execute it to create the floppy.

Re: Bios Update on Netwerver E 60
It does sound like either the Update you have is not correct for the version of server you have or the system ROM is bad.

Re: Bios Update on Netwerver E 60
Thanks guys,
I read the below thread, proceeded to install the Floppy Disk Controller Patch and re-tried to install BIOS 4.06.26 PN (24 Apr 2001), but with a different disk. It worked!!
Thanks for the replies.
