Re: CPU Upgrade of LH 3000
1, what are you trying to upgrade to? CPU of higher frequency or to dual CPUs.
2. Is your server under warranty,
3. What are you looking for, upgrade guide, or server specs or...
4. Have you considered Upgrade Kit from HP to move to LH6000 servers.

Re: CPU Upgrade of LH 3000
You can search for LH3000r at www.hp.com
Have you looked at
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50449en_US.html
Look at setup, install or configure link, there are specs and manuals here.
Since you are under warranty, call the HP support to see what they say.

Re: CPU Upgrade of LH 3000
There is another option we have found but you will incur a Microcode error at POST, but operation is not effected. This option can take you to 1.4 GHz.

Re: CPU Upgrade of LH 3000
But presently, the server is under warranty, so it is not recommended to undergo such a change and void warranty.

Re: CPU Upgrade of LH 3000
processors, system board, 256MB PC-133 SDRAM, one additional power supply module, plus HP Netserver Navigator CD-ROM and
documentation.
They are very hard to find and quite expensive, $6000
