E60 fails EDI devices when additional NIC is installed
The E60 is running perfectly (Windows 2000) but I need an extra netcard and plug in a HP 10/100 type J2585B (PCI) and then the CD-rom and EDI harddrive fails. I have tried to disable the mainboard NIC after which things ar OK but mounting two J2585B disbles EDI devices. The E60 seems to be able to run with only one single NIC. But I need two. Any hints?
Regards,
Finn.

Re: E60 fails EDI devices when additional NIC is installed
I am assuming you mean IDE hard drives. Which technically, aren't supported, but I would be willing to guess there is an IRQ conflict cause this, have you tried using all the slots? You should use slot 4, try using that and the embedded. If you want to use just the PCI cards, use slots 2 and 6.

Re: E60 fails EDI devices when additional NIC is installed
Of course it is IDE devices I meant and the server comes from HP with the IDE CD-rom drive installed. As told in the installation guide, I added the IDE harddrive for spare capacity and it works great. So does the NIC's after placing them in slot 2 and 6 as Theo recommended. Thanks.
