E800 SCSI Bios (installing NT4)
I'm currently installing Windows NT4.0 Server on a Netserver E800.
The systemdisk is an 18GB SCSI disk. the installation works fine, but after the last reboot, the system states: 'Operating System not found'
Also, there's no way to get into the SCSI-bios (no Ctrl-something message)
any ideas anyone?
thanks in advance!
btw, the Diag-tools tell me the disk has a bad boot-sector and I should use disk-utilities to solve the problem. Does anyone know which disks are meant?

Re: E800 SCSI Bios (installing NT4)
First check if your boot order is correct. I would think that you have the disk in a Raid container, and your boot order does not have NetRaid card devices.
However, if it is a Non Raid configuration, but directly using embedded scsi controller,
Use F6 to enter the SCSI configuration utility.
Make sure that the disk is default, so that system knows which disk to boot from.

Re: E800 SCSI Bios (installing NT4)
Thnx, but.. :-)
The F6 method doesn't work, maybe I have a problem with my timing, but the symbios 'press ctrl-c to enter..' doesn't appear.
However, the Windows NT setup does recognize the controller and disk (and installs on it)
Is there a fail safe way to enter the scsi config-utility? or reset it to a default?
In the mean time I'll go work on my timing.
