Hard Drive error
I am trying to setup a netserver lh3000 and it was showing that it had a degraded drive on id 1 #13. I replaced it and it still shows the same error. Red light on front still flashes as well.

Re: Hard Drive error
Your replacement drive at scsi id 13 stayed red for a few possible reasons:
1) will not rebuild due to "Auto Rebuild" option set to "disabled". Use netraid assistant to manual rebuild.
- Right click drive, rebuild.
2) the drive cannot be detected at id 13.
a) Use the Netraid express tools (object, physical drive, user arrow keys to select the drive, look at drive properties) or
b)Netraid Assistant to confirm if right-click, drive properties (show you the disk size, drive f/w etc).
3) the drive rebuilds for a very short time and returns to red. Usually points to one of the surviving array member had a bad block. (quite common if all your drives are running for more than 3 years and non had been previously replaced).
- verify and mark the bad blocks on the integrated scsi controller
- retry the rebuild after verification
Regards.
