Re: IDE RAID Controller
nothing at all.
only remember to prepare the correct driver to "pass" to the installer when you prompted.
good luck and good night.
in Italy it's quite late ...
I'll go to sleep.
tomorrow morning is Monday ... e new week of "had work" is beginning ...
thank you.
TJK.

Re: IDE RAID Controller
After the same frustration with the CSB-6 Ultra ATA-100 RAID Controller I found a link in http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00943065/c00943065.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN to SmartStart unsupported devices which referenced cp005370.exe which installs the MegaIDE utility but still no F6 disk. I decided to look through old SmartStart CD. 5.40 was not helpful but 7.10 has a reference to the CSB-6 in the E:\compaq\csp\nt\bp000189.txt and bp000188.txt files. Once again file no F6 disk, but I decided to try the SmartStart 7.10 CD to install Server 2003 Standard R2 from a Open License CD and WOW!!! It worked.
There is no right way to do a wrong thing.
