LC2000 with Windows 2003 and larger IDE disk
Hello Guys,
After 3 years with my LC2000 using NT4 I would like to upgrade to Windows 2003 Server.
Do you have news about if is possible to do this ? I know 2003 Server is not certified to LC2000 but is it possible ?
Another question. My LC2000 have a internal 1,5Gb IDE disk. Can I simple buy another larger disk and user ? If not, what is the larger HP disk that I can use in the HP Stores ?
Thanks all !

Re: LC2000 with Windows 2003 and larger IDE disk
1. The largest HP drive for the Netserver LC2000 is 36 GB - we only tested SCSI hard drives in this server so I don't know what kind of IDE hard drives might work.
D9419A: 36GB 10,000 RPM 'Hot Swap' Ultra3 SCSI Hard Drive Module low profile
There is a 72 GB drive but it is a HH (half-height), not a low profile. You can fit up to 6 low profile drives in the LC2000. I am specifically referring to the hot swap drives here. Or you can fit max 3 HH. You can also mix LP & HH. If you want more info on this, check out the Technical Reference card for the LC2000 here:

2. If you want to review forum postings related to Netservers & W2003 I'd suggest the Advanced Search web page where you can select a specific forum then search by keywords:

Re: LC2000 with Windows 2003 and larger IDE disk
Hello,
Thanks for your information. I thinked I have a IDE internal disk only to the boot but now I saw that this 1,5Gb is a small partition of the RAID 5.
Unfortunatelly I already have 6 18Gb disks and I cant put more disks.
I will need to go to a external storage.
Well, thanks !!

Re: LC2000 with Windows 2003 and larger IDE disk
You could simple replace all the drives, one at a time, rebuilding each time, in an array to increase the overall space.
As for 2003, you will need to have all the necessary drives availale for the setup before you start. If you can't find a 2003, try and 2000 driver, but not an NT driver.
