LH Pro upgrading.
Hi all.
Recently acquired one of these, for personal Joy :)
It has 2x200 Pentium Pros
256 (hp) Ram
6 hotswap scsi drives.
and a Netraid card.
Q1: Can I just lob in a pair of Pros with 1mb cache?
Q2: What memory can I use in it - does it _need_ to be HP, if not what specs...
Q3: What kind of drives - and up to what size is it likely to support?
Q4: I have slapped an extra 4mb into the NetRaid card from an older 1 - how much ram is it likely to suport, and what specs (looks like 72pin simm).
Q5: Is the Hotswap key standard (cos its locked and I havent got 1 >:( )
Cheers all.

Re: LH Pro upgrading.
Hi:
FYI, here's a link to the latest BIOS and drivers: http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50454en_US.html
Here's a link for hardware upgrades: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportTaskIndex.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=130&prodSeriesId=50454&prodTypeId=15351&supportTaskId=432
Here are the hardware specs: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=lpn12209&locale=en_US&taskId=120&prodSeriesId=50454&prodTypeId=15351
A1: The specs indicate it can support 256KB or 512KB cache processors.
A2: 1GB ECC Memory 60ns DIMM
A3: I would think the only limitation would be the number of bays.
A4: If it's a Netraid-1, maximum is 4MB.
A5: Dunno!
HTH!
Roger
