LXr Pro - Gigabit Adapter
Hi,
does anyone has an idea, if the lxr pro works with an gigabit ethernet adapter (f.e. 3c996-t) ?

the logic is simple - if your gigabit card is 32 bit, then it should work in the PCI slot. If it is 64 bit, then it could - according to PCI specs.
the lxr PCI bus may get clogged if you have too many so fast devices on it - you'd want to have the PCI card on the same bus as the SCSI card to avoid the data transfer across the PCI bridges

The NetServer LXr Pro has 32-bit PCI slots, which are PCI spec 2.1. Check the Gigabit card requirements and see if this is adequate.
