Looking like DEAD Floppy Ctrl. On Netserver LS
Looks like I have a DEAD Floppy Ctrl on my netserver 5/166 LS
Problem is cant boot from floppy disk.
Floppy drive and floppy cable test good in a 2nd PC.
Was going to try next disableing the onboard floppy CTRL.
and installing a floppy CTRL card.
Anyone ever try this?
I will have to buy a cheap IDE FLOPPY card and before I did I just want
to check if anyone ever done this.

Re: Looking like DEAD Floppy Ctrl. On Netserver LS
definately was never tested and may not work with the old ECU.. hopefully you still have a nav cd as a second way to boot to your ECU if you need to. Good luck.

Re: Looking like DEAD Floppy Ctrl. On Netserver LS
I have tried a IDE Floppy/IDE controler with disableing the on board
IDE/Floppy Controler. and I can say it does NOT WORK.
Yes I have a set of the last CD for all HP Netservers that are retired.
