***STOP: 0x0000007B (On Installation of W2K)

Hello Friends!

Kindly assist me to resolve this issue of stop error on 1st installation
of W2K server on HP Netserver LC2000
with 9Gb hard disk.
The system stopped with this error message after coping the W2K
files.
***STOP: 0x0000007B
(0xF741B84C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

Re: ***STOP: 0x0000007B (On Installation of W2K)

Chris,

This happens if the system could not load the driver for your SCSI controller to which the 9GB disk is connected.

Have you used the LC2000 driver diskette with the HP drivers on them during installation ? If not, this might be your problem as Windows2000 might not have the suitable driver for the SCSI controller by default.

I suggest retrying the installation and when the loader asks for storage drivers, point the installer to the floppy with the driver on it.

Alternatively you could use the automated installation procedure that you'll find on the Netserver Navigator CD.

Hope this helps,

-Cal.

I installed WINNT4.0 Server and before upgrade, I applied the patch/drivers for w2k. Then upgraded to W2K Server. It is okay now. I have upgraded some servers
