Slow shutdown on LC3 Netserver with Raid 5 on NT 4.0
When a tell a shutdown on my nt 4.0 server . It take about 15-20 minute to shutdown. I have the "writing data to disk" windows on the screen all this time.
I have NT 4.0 SP 6.0
Raid 5 configuration

Basic troubleshooting is needed here. If HP Instant TopTools is installed under Windows, the TopTools report can be emailed to Netserver support for review. Also use the STATUS tab in Instant TopTools to view the HP event log. (Is there any information in the NT Event logs?).
To install Instant TopTools, go to:
http://www.hp.com/toptools/download/server_agents.html
Under other hp management tools, select: Instant TopTools 5.x (Eng.)
The downloaded exe file will launch an install wizard. Install and run the program.

First, you need to verify you are using the latest and greatest firmware, BIOS and drivers on the system. You can find everything you will need for the LC here:
