We have a lh6000 that was running NT4 server with 6 processors installed. We installed Win 2000 advanced server. Only 4 of the 6 installed processors are now detected.
Anyone know where to find the correct info/upgrade to run all six processors?
Hugh

Solution
Hi Hugh,
Do you have the latest BIOS? If not you can download and flash your server from this link
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=62577&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50451&swEnvOID=54#326
Make sure you downloaded the right BIOS (You have to find out if your server is a U3 or A U2 server)
Make sure you get in to F2 BIOS setup and save the default configuration and exit after BIOS flash
Regards

Re: Support of 6 processors on LH6000r
Hugh....
It sounds like you installed regular Win 2k and not AS. Maybe a mislabled CD? Standard Win2k does only have support for up to 4 processors. I'm sure that if you had all 6 running under NT4, 2k should address them.
Did you use the HP NOS drivers?

Re: Support of 6 processors on LH6000r
Windows 2000 Server supports 2 CPU out of the box. It will, however support up to 4 when it is an upgrade install from windows NT Server.
