HI All,
I am currently running HCl 7.1.59 and was testing a design with irf. I would like to add a host to the switch and configure the HOST so that it takes ip from a vlan i created. But i am unable to configure the host to add an ip address or defaukt gateway as there is no configuration button,
Could someone please expplain to me how the host works? Thank you.

Solutionissue resolved. I created a vm (installed windows xp). Assigned the virtual adapter to XP and configured the static ip on windows. Able to ping the gateway but from switch to ping host, was still not working. Disabled firewall on the vm(xp), i was able to ping the host from the switch. no more issues
