Brocade FOS version and creating a fabric

Hello!

We are planning to add in existing brocade fabric new switch.

Current configuration: brocade 5100 and 6510 with FOS 7.3.1

We plan to add to this fabric G620 with 8.2.1c.

So, do we need to upgrade FOS in existing fabric first and then we can add G620? I can’t find any Broadcom documentation about this. Are there any restrictions or is this configuration with different FOS versions is unsupported by broadcom etc.?

Also, can you please provide official broadcom document with this statement.

Please help.
