CAN'T CONNECT PEER-TO-PEER NETWORK

Window 98 on Pavilion 6350 over a Negear switch won't talk to a Windows 2000 Pro PC. From Network Neighborhood and for each PC I can see the PC's workgroup and shares but not the others. Using NetBui.

Alright, bad Netgear Switch, model number FS605. Learned that these are really HUBS! For they are switches that provide no MAC address. I consider this a Marketing Falsehood myself.

Went back to cross over cables and can now ping either PC but network neighborhood fails. Ideas? Enable Netbios over TCP/IP?
