Hi all,
I have a DL380 server running Windows 2000 server. The 2 onboard NIC's are setup as a team, but there is only one switch port available. As a result, the team is 'broken' in Systems Insight Manager. I want to clear this error, as it's unresolvable. Is there a way to remove the 2nd NIC from the team without breaking the team and then diabling the NIC? What does the 'drop' option do?

Solution
No, there isn't any way to accomplish what you are trying to do. All teams must have at least two NICs. If you drop the second NIC in a team, the team will be dissolved.
If you have a Team with one bad NIC, you will continue to see the team marked as "degraded" with a yellow icon.
