HP-UX Autofs: Applying auto.direct changes

Hello,
is it possible to apply changed /etc/auto.direct entries while nfs-client keeps on running?
The box runs HP-UX 11.11

I want to automount (autofs) additional NFS-Shares via auto.direct - but there are lot of processes accessing other NFS-Shares. I cannot do a stop and restart without the risk of failing cronjobs and useraccess.
The need of adding new NFS-Shares may occur sometimes more.

Thanks in advance
Lothar

Re: HP-UX Autofs: Applying auto.direct changes

Hi Lothar,

I normally just run "automount -v" in this instance. If configured correctly in auto.direct it will show it as a new mount and will be usable without a restart.

regards,

Richard
