How do I restart network services on rx6600 with 11iv3

Need to change the subnet mask and ip address on several of our servers. Is there a quick way to restart the network stack?

USAGE: /sbin/init.d/net {start_msg | stop_msg | start | stop}

I would consider to reboot the server, because several applications and services may be still bound to the old address.
