How to verify NIC teaming/Bonding on HP-UX

Hi All,

I would like to verify if the NIC teaming is enabled on one of our HP-UX servers.

netstat looks like below

# netstat -in

lan4:1    1500 143.12.212.0      143.12.212.19     3172331088 0     2573632359 0     0

lan4 is the Server IP.

Please Advise.

Thanks

Hi Deepak,

I may guess that you refer to APA configuration.

post output of

1./etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaportconf

2./etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaconf

3.lanscan

Re: How to verify NIC teaming/Bonding on HP-UX

Hi Deepak,

provide lansan -q output.  I was wrong at this point.

you don't have any configuration files for apa in /etc/rc.config.d.

most probably you don't have APA configured.

Re: How to verify NIC teaming/Bonding on HP-UX

Since this machine is 11.11, APA (the LAN teaming software) was an optional, priced product.  With no config files for apa in the /etc/rc.config.d directory, the product probably not installed. And unless a very non-standard config was used, APA configs will have lan900, possibly lan901, etc setup. It may be very difficult to purchase the J4240AA APA software for 11.11 as the OS will be obsolete next year.
